Many of you took a sneak peek at the article below focused on Key Elements in the lives of successful multi-generational families...and found Communication and Trust is #1 on the list.   Does that surprise you?

Studies show that 60% of the time the lack of effective Communication and Trust is what causes the failure in transitioning wealth (Preparing Heirs, Williams & Preisser).  We have found it is also the culprit in preventing family unity, the transition of leadership, and sharing what matters most with the generations who follow.

There is a survey on our website that is similar to one of the tools we use at the first family meeting to help the family identify what matters along with common purposes and priorities/next steps to accomplish together.  Our desired outcome at the first meeting with the whole family is to provide education about the pitfalls that "get families" and solutions and tools to help the family succeed together.  If you are interested in learning more about what that first meeting could look like for your family…give me a call!
